Rules for Entry

ELIGIBILITY

*Members do not have to attend convention to enter photo contest

1. New Installations are eligible for entry if your company has manufactured two out of three of the following: 1.) Frame 2.) Cover 3.) Graphics. New installations can be entered regardless of when the work was originally completed, as long as the entry has not been entered in a previous Zone Photo Contest.

2. Recover Installations are eligible for entry if both the frame and cover were originally manufactured by your company. Recover installations can be entered regardless of when the work was originally completed as long as the entry has not been entered in a previous Zone Photo Contest.

CATEGORIES

100 SERIES – Residential Awnings and Canopies – Single Family

200 SERIES – Residential Awnings and Canopies – Multiple Family

300 SERIES – Commercial Awnings and Canopies – under 30’-0” linear feet

400 SERIES – Commercial Awnings and Canopies – over 30’-0” linear feet

500 SERIES – Interior Awnings and Designs

600 SERIES – Industrial

700 SERIES – Marine

800 SERIES – Backlit*

900 SERIES – New and Unusual

1000 SERIES – Before & After

Each entry is limited to photos no larger than 8” x 10” and allotted a 16” x 20” space on the display board.

Only two photos per job, but the number of entries is unrestricted.

Voting is done by ballot tickets only, provided at the time of registration. One (1) vote per category.

Awards will be provided by John Boyle & Company for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category, earning points for each award. The “John Boyle Outstanding Company Award” will be presented to the company which accumulates the most points. Point breakdown is as follows: 1st Place – 3 points, 2nd Place – 2 points, 3rd Place – 1 point.

*Note: All entries submitted in the backlit category must have a photo showing the entry illuminated. Entries with covers manufactured of backlit material can be entered in other categories ONLY if the entry has no means of illumination. Entrant should specify the proper entry category on the entry form; however the Photo contest chairman reserves the right to reclassify the entry. The decision of the chairman is final.
